Request a room on the upper floor for a quieter stay, especially if you're sensitive to noise from ground-level machinery.

The garden area is a peaceful retreat. My room had weak water pressure and the heating was way too high.

Check-in at the Manor felt warm and welcoming. The receptionist was friendly and provided good information. The room was basic but comfortable, and it had everything I needed, except the plumbing was a bit off. The shower wouldn’t work properly, overflowing even after I reported it. The room got a little too warm at night, and the old sash windows didn’t stay open. The food was delicious, especially the steak and ale pie. I appreciated the bar's engaging atmosphere. the staff could improve on organization during busy times as we experienced some delays during meal service. I noticed that the hotel isn't great with mobility issues. access was a challenge even for those on the first floor.

We had a lovely family stay with our toddler! The staff were incredibly welcoming and the food was top-notch, especially the breakfast. We enjoyed exploring the local area, including fascinating spots like Wookey Hole with its limestone caverns. Plus, our room was clean and comfortable.
In my wife’s opinion, adding more kid-friendly play areas would be great.

Had a blast with friends! Explored the limestone caverns at Wookey Hole and enjoyed an interactive exhibition with welcome drinks. The pub downstairs had great vibes with music until midnight. Clean rooms and friendly staff set the right expectations for a good stay.
One downside was the noisy floorboards in the coach house, which made it hard to sleep at times.

missingWrote a review on Aug 22historical charactercozy ambiancelocal attractionsnoise levels
The historical character of the building is immediately striking, blending rustic charm with cozy bar ambiance. The location offers easy access to local attractions, making it a prime spot for travelers looking to explore the area.
Noise is a significant factor here, with thin walls making it difficult to escape the sounds of adjacent rooms, including bathroom flushes and hallway traffic. The bathrooms in my room were oddly designed, with a separate loo, basin, and shower cubicle, which felt awkward and contributed to privacy concerns. Maintenance also needs attention. I encountered a shower head that wouldn’t stay in place, and the flushing loo issued an unwelcoming squeak that made late-night visits feel disruptive.
